The "Cruisers" are members of Coral Ridge Yacht Club who share a love of boating and the boating life-style. We are a boat club within the club, open to all members. Members meet once a month for a dinner at the Club to plan and discuss their monthly cruises. These trips involve boat owners and members without boats. The group comes by car and boat for a weekend or longer to preplanned destinations, visiting local marinas as well as the Bahamas and beyond.
Trips in the past have included Palm Harbor with a famous margarita party, Key Largo with a glass bottom boat trip, Sunset Harbor with a poolside BBQ, Naples with an incredible seafood buffet, Boca Raton Resort and Bimini Bay Resort and it's quaint downtown. Bimini Big Game was one of
the favorite destinations with a pig roast and swimming with stingrays.
The most unusual cruise was to Maule Lake where a barge had been rented. Twenty five boats docked around the barge. Carpet was laid. Tables, chairs, grills, palm trees, a sound system with live entertainment, and even a grassy place for the pets were unloaded onto the barge. Eighty cruisers had a wonderful weekend with dinghy runs, dancing and dining. Later, a helicopter circled the barge and documented all of the fun. With an article and photo were published in Southern Boating magazine!
