Thanks for
the "Memories"
ith
255 persons attending, CRYC was very alive on Saturday evening,
September 24. Upon arrival, the nostalgia started when
entering the club. Thanks to Paul & Gwen Sullivan a beautiful
little 1952 MG TD was parked for all to admire. Decorations of
reprints of Famous Newspaper Headlines and copies of Memorable
Sheet Music Covers triggered even more memories. The music
provided by the trio named "Memories" had us reliving fond
memories from the decades past until present. Their vocals and
lively performance had the dance floor packed the whole evening.
Heads were buzzing with so many Memories of times ago.
Smiling faces and laughter was a true indicator of the fun of
the present event.
To add to the festivities, we had a contest open to all whereby
they guessed, "who is who" in our Photo Contest. Photos
from many years past were provided by several of our elected
officers. What fun. Dan Rubens was the winner.
The costumes were great making it a difficult decision to select
only two winners. The prizes for the best male and best female
costume were awarded to Don & Joyce Kelly.
We love to see our fellow members of all ages enjoy the music,
food, fun and friendship that were experienced. The committee
thanks you for your enthusiastic participation in making
"Memories" such a successful event.
Brian & Peggy Hewitt,
Paul & Zoe Bartels,
Earl & Evelyn Goldberg,
Ralph & Lynne McGrath and
Joel & Karen Werchowsky.
