Anc'Hers- Weekly luncheon meetings for
women. Speakers are announced in the Log and on the
upcoming events page of this website. The
Anc'Hers meet Tuesday 11:30-12:30, main dining room; no reservations
required. It's a great way to get familiar with some of the ladies here at
our Club. All women are welcome. Many members gather in the Wheel Room
following the regular meeting for a "Coffee Klatch."Separate
annual dues.

Auxiliary - Monthly
luncheon meeting and special program; meets 2nd Wednesday of the
month at 11:30 in the main dining room. Reservations are required, The New
Auxiliary sponsors a monthly Fashion Show the 3rd Wed, Fall thru

Balls -
Several times each year the Club sponsors special formal parties, e.g.
Incoming and Retiring Commodore's Balls, Change of Command, Grand Opening
Party, etc. to which all CRYC members are invited and encouraged to wear
either Black Tie or Service Dress Uniform. - Watch for details in the
Log or mailed invitations.
Bingo - Every Tuesday evening CRYC members gather for lively Bingo.
Come for cocktails at 5 p.m., dinner buffet 6-9 with Bingo beginning at 8:10
p.m. You can come for one or all the events of the evening. Casual dress is
permitted. No reservations are necessary.
Birthdays/Anniversary/New Member Party - First Thursday of every
month during "season" (with the summer months combined) celebrants that fit
into one of the 3 categories can party in the Main Dining Room.
Reservations are necessary. Free dinner with a card sent to you by CRYC;
6:30 p.m. cocktails, 7:30 dinner. Jackets required for men - For more

Ladies Duplicate Bridge (ACBL-sanctioned game and points) meets every

- meets 2nd Friday of each month in the Commodores Lounge at
12:30 p.m. Reservations are required.

Captains' Club - Captains' Club was
initially for those interested in boating, but has evolved into a weekly
men's luncheon meeting (Tuesday noon/8 Bells) featuring talks ranging from
travel, politics, medicine, current events, entertainment, science, etc.
The bell for dismissal is usually rung by 1:15 p.m. No reservations are
necessary. Some members elect to gather in the bar for "grog" beforehand at
7 Bells (11:30).
Separate annual dues support the Captains' Club. Application form is

Poker-
Following Captains' Club (usually from 1:30-4 p.m. on Tuesdays) there's a
group that meets in the upstairs men's card room for a "friendly game" of
poker. They are always looking for new players.
Pool - Following Captains' Club (usually beginning around 1:30 p.m. on
Tuesdays) upstairs in the
lounge. Bring your own cue or grab a stick and call "break."
Cruises - At least once each month the boaters have an organized
cruise. Some are for an afternoon (usually small boats to a restaurant),
some last for a long weekend, others can be for a week or more. Out-of-town
destinations include the Keys, Bahamas, Miami, other Florida yacht clubs,
etc. Sign-up sheets for cruises are posted and available at the Evening
with the Cruisers (see next activity). Often times, guests can be
accommodated on the larger vessels, so even if you don't have a boat you
might be able to enjoy the trip. For more info:

Evening with the Cruisers - Once a month (usually 3rd
Thursday) they gather at the Point Bar and Grille or up on the Verandah
(casual dress) at 6 p.m. for cocktails followed by buffet dinner at 7 or
7:30. Info is available about upcoming cruises and parties, activities,
etc. Find out who's buying or selling a yacht. Reservations are requested.

Dance Lessons - Nearly every Sunday from 5-6 p.m. on the dance floor
in the Main Dining Room - no reservations are necessary; just waltz on in.
Dances taught include swing, fox trot, cha-cha, tango, etc. Cost is
$15/couple or $8 single.
Family Nights -occur most Friday nights at the Point Bar
and Grille with reduced-price cocktails beginning at 5 pm.
Holidays/Special Occasions
- For every special day - Christmas, Easter, Mother's and Father's Day, New
Year's Eve, Holiday Boat Parade, 4th of July, etc. CRYC has an
appropriate celebration - whether it's a picnic, brunch, dinner, etc.
Reservations are always a must for these occasions. Watch for details in the Log, or on the web.
Parking Stickers - Stickers are required for every vehicle in your
household that you regularly drive to the Club. During special occasions
(like the Holiday Boat Parade or other events when an unusually large crowd
is expected) a separate parking pass is issued. Windshield stickers are
availableat the front desk. For more info: call the front

Parties - At least twice a month, CRYC has a party - some are "theme
dress" such as Valentines or St Patrick's Day (lots of red or green
depending on the particular party), or the Yachtsmen's Ball (mostly blue
blazers and white pants/skirts); some are "costume" affairs such as a
Shipwreck, 50's Party, April in Paris, Oktoberfest, Mardi Gras, etc. at
which many in attendance wear costumes befitting the theme, but it is
certainly not a requirement! Reservations are necessary for all parties.

Committee) - 954-568-4348 Reciprocal Privileges With Other Yacht Clubs - Coral Ridge Yacht
Club is a member of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, an organization
consisting of over 30 other Clubs throughout Florida. As a member of Coral
Ridge, you may use the other Clubs' facilities as you would CRYC and be
billed on your CRYC statement. Boaters enjoy the first night docking free at
other Clubs. FCYC sponsors several trips each year on major cruise lines
which many CRYC members enjoy. Additionally, CRYC is a member of the
Register of American Yacht Clubs which offers dining and other privileges at
hundreds of other yacht clubs throughout the US. For more info:

Tennis
- Tennis is in full swing on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays at 9 a.m. No
reservations are necessary - just meet at the newly refurbished courts.
Two for One drink prices and munchies every Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday 5-7 p.m. (Joe Kuhl's music) and Friday 6-8 p.m. in the
Burgee Bar. On Fridays the music is by Lynn and Terry. Dress is
casual, no reservations are necessary, but if you're staying for dinner in
the Wheel Room or Dining Room, please make a reservation.Family
Nights occur most Friday nights at the Point Bar and Grille, with two for
one drinks beginning at 5 p.m. Pot O' Gold Drawing every Friday.
$100 in F&B credits goes into the pot every Friday and is rolled over and
added to the next Friday until there is a winner.
Water Aerobics - every Wednesday and Friday morning at 11 in our HEATED
pool. $5 (cash) per class; no reservations required - just show up ready to
yak and exercise. While it's traditionally been for the ladies, men are
welcome.
