Fisher Island

The cruise to
Fisher Island was truly fabulous. Zoe & Paul Bartels, with the
help of Karen and Joe Werchowsky, did an outstanding job. We had
16 boats and plenty of drive-overs. Friday night's cocktails were
in the courtyards behind the magnificent bungalow rooms, private and
cozy and definitely lots of fun. Saturday some took dinghies over
to "Jimbos" which is definitely an experience; lots of laughs.
Many had lunch at the patio bar which was excellent. A lot of us
rode our bikes or golf carts around to get the lay of the land.
Saturday night, Zoe cooked a Cuban dinner for all 52 of us. Her
Mon gave her a hand with Fried Plantains and Black Beans, Zoe did pulled
pork, rice and salad. Fisher Island let us have the dinner in the
Patio Bar, which was perfect. Was it good? Oh my goodness! We were
fortunate to meet Zoe's Mom and Dad and her son. Fisher Island is
definitely a great destination and we hope to visit again.
Our next Cruise, November 14, is to Delray and will be headed up by the
Werchowskys and the Bartels. |

The highlight is
Saturday night's BBQ catered by "Lucille's
Bad to the Bone BBQ." The Delray Beach Yacht Club is a great
destination as it is walking distance from Atlantic Blvd. Lots of shops
and restaurants. This is always a great cruise.
I am publishing the dates of next year's cruises so that all can arrange
their calendars accordingly. There are still destinations to be
added but note that Ocean Reef is February 27-29. Bimini/Cat Cay is May
29-June 7 and the Cruise to CRYC is August 14-16. Hopefully the balance
of the destinations will be decided upon by the November Cruisers
dinner.
Remember that anyone who wants to be a "Cruiser" is one.
